Dear Valued Customer,
We truly value the relationship our company has built with yours over the years of doing business together. With that in mind, I am pleased to announce some exciting news that will allow us to do much more together in the future.
In order to offer customers a more unified global cold storage and logistics solution, NOCS’ Shareholders have voted to accept an offer from Emergent Cold to acquire 100% of the shares of NOCS, with a planned closing at the end of August 2019.
Mark Blanchard, Jim Henderson and all the NOCS Family will be staying on long term to ensure our customers continue to receive the service they expect from NOCS. As NOCS will be Emergent Cold’s first operation in North America, NOCS will operate as the company’s North American platform, with the headquarters remaining in New Orleans, LA.
With Emergent Cold’s operations throughout the globe combined with NOCS’ unique United States export and import expertise and 3 strategic Port operations at the Ports of New Orleans, LA; Houston, TX; and Charleston, SC, customers will now have seamless connectivity between US and overseas markets to better serve global supply chain needs. In addition to the current NOCS and Emergent Cold global locations, the NOCS Team is looking to rapidly expand to new markets to help our customers solve the continued growth we foresee in the market.
Through this transaction, our 133-year-old company will enter into an exciting new chapter. This is a tremendous opportunity for our associates as well as our customers. We plan to bring the level of customer service and customer relationships for which NOCS is known to many more locations throughout North America, and to support our existing customers with the same services globally. We welcome and eagerly await any questions you may have.
Thank you for your support over the years. We look forward to making things even better going forward. We appreciate the relationship, and we appreciate your business.
