VISIT NOCS's NEW INVENTORY TRACKING SYSTEM
Back in 1886, New Orleans Cold Storage and Warehouse Company, Ltd. first opened its doors to serve the Port of New Orleans and the surrounding metropolitan area.
Through times of peace and prosperity...and through difficult periods of depression and war,
the company continued to grow and develop by responding to the changing needs of each passing decade.
Since the very beginning, New Orleans Cold Storage has been associated with the handling
and storage of refrigerated cargo -- both inbound and outbound. In fact, the first order of business was the manufacture and sale of ice to rail lines, sailing vessels and steamships calling on the "Crescent City".
Today, New Orleans Cold Storage -- or simply "NOCS" as the company has come to
be known -- has expanded its operations to markets throughout the United States.
Each facility is designed to handle its own specific market, providing for greater operating efficiency and professional care. Such markets include the panhandle of Florida to the West
Gulf Coast of Texas, the Central and South American markets, the Pacific Basin, the Australian-New Zealand trade, China, Taiwan, and the Peoples Republic of China...and the eastern bloc countries and Russia.
A comprehensive umbrella of services makes NOCS truly unique. These services start the moment the product is received and conclude when the product reaches its final destination.
From warehousing, inspection, container drayage and inland transportation, NOCS holds firm
its 100+ year commitment to caring for the changing needs of each generation.
